Editorial Reviews
From Publishers Weekly
Since the Dating A Therapist DSM-IV® was published in 1994, we’ve seen many advances in our knowledge of those in the psychiatric profession and their illnesses. It is essentially a compilation of symptom and behavior checklists that help loveseekers make reliable diagnoses of mental disorders of potential partners.

This Revision incorporates information culled from a comprehensive review of existing research and much fieldwork by the various (mostly anonymous) authors. Updated information is included bringing in culture, age, self-importance, gender features, prevalence, course, and familial pattern of mental disorders.

If you've ever got involved with a therapist, or are thinking about it, or think jokes about therapists have not yet gone stale, this is the book for you!

I am outraged by this puerile and almost offensive guide. The authors, as a group, clearly have some unresolved Mother complexes and a tendencies towards Narcissistic Personality Disorder. I detect some Oedipal undertones too, as well as some strong shadow elements being expressed through this so-called 'humour'. This 'humour' is clearly a shield to protect lower layers of their disowned subpersonalities from the grinding existential truth of a meaningless universe. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to press myself up against some glass while watching passing children.
